The 2023 IESPL Women Championship 2023 (IWC 2023) is one of the tournaments held as a qualifiers for the upcoming MWI 2023 tournament. The winner of IWC 2023 is eligible to represent Indonesia in the Asia nationwide event.

Indonesia in general is one of the regions with the strongest competitive scene for female players. Like Bigetron Era which is a champion of the last year’s MWI 2022 tournaments.

Such fact is approved by IWC 2023’s tournament casters Thalia Limberly, Abed Ansel, and Gio Joshua. They agreed that in the upcoming MWI 2023 tournaments, teams from Indonesia will bring home champions title.

“For the ladies Mobile Legends scene, we all think that Indonesia reigns supreme for now. So we certainly believe that Indonesia-based teams can win this upcoming tournaments.” Three of them told KINCIR in sync.

Gio told the reason to his statement; it’s due to the fact that ladies’ team’s training routine has almost match to the male’s team now.

“I think maybe one of the things that made our ladies’ scene better than other Southeast Asian countries’ is from the culture; their training routine time has matched the male’s own routine. With this fact, we cannot look down upon the ladies MLBB players anymore.” He explained.

Meanwhile on Abed Ansel’s view, such thing happened for Indonesia pioneered the female Mobile Legends’ competitive scene.

“If I remember correctly, Indonesia is one of the first countries which having Mobile Legends ladies teams, to the best of my knowledge. So we could say that Indonesia pioneered (the scene.)” Said Abed.

Lastly, Thalia Limberly viewed Indonesia’ Mobile Legends competitive scene as a whole is already having strong presence, indirectly contributing in the raising dynamics of the ladies’ competitive scene.

“From what I saw in the men’s competitive scene, Indonesia is among the strongest one alongside the Philippines. That also elevated the ladies’ scene. Nowadays we can see Indonesian (female) players go streaming or play together with the male. Such thing might made them carried by the (male’s) gameplay.” Thalia concluded.
