IESPL Women Championship Mould Pro Ladies Players to Compete in Mobile Legends Bang Bang Women’s Invitational 2023

As an effort to advancing Indonesia’s game and eSports industry, KINCIR, the media provider for contents regarding movies and games to the youth, held the IESPL Women Championship (IWC) tournament to hype up the Mobile Legends’ competitive scene, mainly the women’s team.

There are 12 teams participating in the IWC tournament: they are MBR Delphyne, Dewa United Eve, FOES WIN, ECHO Aeris, AURA Phoenix, Tiger Wong Seiren, RRQ Mika, GPX Basreng, Geek Girls, Bigetron Era, Nigma Galaxy, and A8 Phoenix.

The national game and eSports industry have become a preferable choice and opportunity to grab achievements, as well as a promising field of occupation. This can be seen through the number of eSports events held in the recent years, along with Indonesian eSports team’s achievements which have won various international level competitions.

Besides that, female gamers, especially in Asia, is consistently increasing year after year. Based on the data collected by Google and Niko Partners, the current number of female gamers have reached 38% from the 1.33 billion gamers of Asian region in total, that is nearly equaling the number of male gamers.

The IWC tournament was divided into two qualifying rounds: Group A qualifiers won by MBR Delphyne and Nigma Galaxy, and Group B qualifiers won by GPR Basreng and Bigetron Era. Winners of each group will qualify to the playoffs, competing their way to bring home champions title.

The playoffs will be held this Saturday, 14 January 2023, and will be streamed live through KINCIR Esports’ YouTube Channel (youtube.com/@KINCIR.Esports.) Those who won the playoffs will get a grand prize worth Rp 30.000.000,- (thirty million rupiahs) as well as the chance to advance their way to represent Indonesia in the 2023 Mobile Legends Women Invitational (MWI) tournament organized by KINCIR and Moonton.

“IESPL Women Championship is our commitment to continue supporting Indonesia’s eSports ecosystem as a whole, without limiting any genders (of the players.)” Said Rangga Danu Prasetyo, Chief Organizer of IESPL Women Championship and Chief Committee of Mobile Legends Bang Bang Women’s Invitational. ” We hope that in the future, Indonesia’s eSports (scene) will have its own place in the society. Also for the gamers, especially professional players, to have more opportunities in showing their best abilities and bringing Indonesia’s eSports (scene) to the global scope.” He added.

The MWI 2023 tournament will begin on 8 February 2023, with the playoffs scheduled to be held on 11-12 February 2023. This tournament will bring together the best women’s eSport athletes from all across Southeast Asia to fight for a grand prize worth USD 30.000).

“The MWI 2023 tournament is the peak prestige of (an eSports) event for gamers, especially female (players.)” Said Ginta Kamka, Vice Organizer of IESPL Women Championship and Secretary General of Mobile Legends Bang Bang Women’s Invitational. “We felt very proud to be able to participate (in this event) by sending off two of Indonesia’s best teams, which we hope can represent our eSports’ (scene) quality as well as inspiring newbie gamers to keep chasing after their passion in the eSports field.” He concluded.

On the MWI 2023 event, there will be 10 women’s eSports teams from 7 Southeast Asian countries, who will fight for the champions’ trophy. The participating countries are Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, and one representative from the Mekong Region (Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam).
