PBESI (Esports Federation of Indonesia) hosted MWI 2023 tournament which is held today (12/2) at Summarecon Mall Bekasi. This event has entered the semi-finals with two Indonesian teams as well as two other teams from the Philippines on the lineup.

As an organizer of esports in Indonesia, PBESI often attended these tournaments, represented by Debora Imanuella as the federation’s Special Staff of The General Secretary. On this event she also declared her full support for the MWI tournament which was held earlier this year.

“I would like to express my regards for the success of the second Mobile Legends Women Invitational, where ten teams from across Southeast Asia participated to compete in this event. After having presented by wonderful matches, we have now reached the grand finals,” said Debora.

“MWI 2023 is an important step and milestone in the history of esports in Indonesia, as envisioned by our chairmen, Mr. Budi Gunawan and Mr. Bambang Sunarwibowo. PBESI’s dreams for esports itself is to put Indonesia at the peak of global esports scene. Hopefully Indonesia can become the major force of esports in Asia and the rest of the world,” she added.

Furthermore, Debora also stated her hopes for Indonesia to be able to spread it wings even broader in the worldwide esports scene through this tournament.

“Inclusivity, which means leaving no one behind, is the spirit that drives such vision. That being said, everyone, regardless of their differences, can gather round and self-actualize themselves through esports in Indonesia. It is such a grand vision full of values of human rights, mainly gender equality and women’s empowerment. Therefore we at PBESI warmly appreciated many esports event such as this Mobile Legends Women Invitational initiated by Moonton and KINCIR, which prioritizes and creates more opportunities (in esports) for women,” Debora concluded.
