IESPL Women Championship 2023 (IWC 2023) playoffs took place this Saturday (14/1) with three matches being held; two semifinals and a grand finals.

First semifinals brought Bigetron Era and MBR Delphyne to the rumble, while the second one united Nigma Galaxy with GPX Basreng. Winners of each match will compete against each other in the grand finals.

The first semifinal match ended with The Red Robots victory. In this match, which is held in the best of 3 format, Vivian and friends don’t give MBR Delphyne any chance at all. This made Bigetron Era won the match by 2-0 and becoming the first to qualify for the grand finals.

Meanwhile the second semifinal match brought together GPX Basreng and Nigma Galaxy. Having the advantage of being one of the top teams made GPX Basreng having minimal problem in tackling down Nigma Galaxy, concluded with The Axe Gang’s win by 2-0.

The finals between Bigetron Era and GPX Basreng became the ideal match that ever happened in the tournament. Each team’s strength really shows throughout the first round for the match lasted for more than 30 minutes. Bigetron Era finally owned the half-an-hour-plus match by 1-0. All thanks to Vival’s job which made her the MVP of the first round.

But it wouldn’t be GPX Basreng without their strong desire for revenge. Funi and friends did own the second round after approximately 25 minutes of match. Unfortunately that means nothing as Bigetron Era successfully crushed them to bits. The Red Robots then aced the next two rounds, resulting in them winning the IWC 2023 tournament championship title with the score of 3-1.

Bigetron Era won grand prize money as well as securing their ticket to be the first representative of Indonesia in the MWI 2023, the Southeast Asia nationwide tournament which will be held on 8 February 2023.
