The IESPL Women Championship (IWC 2023) tournament has come to an end; 12 eSports teams have shown their best performances to go after the champion title and a chance to represent Indonesia in the upcoming MWI 2023 tournaments.
As one of the tournaments where the best women’s eSports teams participated, IWC 2023 also featured some of the scene’s first class players. Some of those familiar names put themselves on the list of best players throughout the tournament, according to the game’s official casters Thalia Limberly, Gio Joshua, and Abed Ansel.
Interested in knowing who made the cut to the best 5 players in the game according to them? Let’s go find out!
Jungler: Caramel – GPX Basreng
All three casters agreed to put Caramel on the list as the best jungler; Abed noticed her bright performance contributed to GPX Basreng’s brilliant results.
“So far I noticed that Caramel’s gameplay with GPX Basreng really (made her) shine. With (GPX Basreng) becoming the champion of Group B as well as entering the grand finals after effortlessly defeating Nigma Galaxy, I think it’s a very convincing result.” Told Abed.
Roamer: Vivian – Bigetron Era
Thalia really have an eye on Vivian’s performance as a roamer. She dubbed Vivian as the player who can create momentums and make a play, as well as having the crowd control ability needed to manage the gameplay tempo.
“I think Vivian is able to create momentums and make a play. For example, when Bigetron Era undergone a hassle during the early game, Vivian managed to create a momentum by using her very great crowd controlling. This allowed her team mates to get back on track.” She explained.
Gold Laner: Chincaaw – GPX Basreng
Next we have Chincaaw as the best gold laner. Abed dubbed Chincaaw’s performance to be on a pinnacle of her violent phase. According to him, Chincaaw’s golden moment occurred when she got a Savage during the qualifiers stage, and she’s able to maintain her position really well throughout the match.
“I think Chincaaw’s fierce performance has reached her peak. Like when she had a chance to make a moment during the group stage by getting a Savage. She’s also managed to keep her position nicely, as well as doing a very on point farming. I mean, when she didn’t get a space, she’ll go push herself to go after a space. And there’s always an objective that she did.” Said Abed.
Exp Laner: LW – GPX Basreng
Abed picked GPX Basreng’s LW as the best exp laner. He specifically pointed out her rather frightening playing style where she’s constantly eyeing her rivals in the gold laner or mid laner positions during the tournament.
“In my perspective, LW’s gameplay tend to focus on chasing after gold laner or mid laner from her rivaling team. That really scares me, especially since an offlaner’s role is to zone out everyone who became the highest damage dealer.” He added.
Mid Laner: Funi – GPX Basreng
Finally, on the mid laner position, Gio picked GPX Basreng’s Funi. He pointed out Funi’s gameplay which is relatively stable, proven by GPX Basreng’s unbeatable record up to the semifinals. Gio also pointed out Funi’s abundant bunch of Hero pool.
“I personally seeing consistency and stability in Funi’s gameplay. Also I haven’t seen GPX Basreng’s defeat up up until the semifinals, (the score’s) still 7-0 so far. With that being said, her role to the team is pretty important as she have an abundant bunch of Hero pool.”
This concludes the list picked by Thalia, Gio, and Abed; do you agree with the lineup?
